MBA Professional Development: Overview

MLT’s MBA Professional Development curriculum provides Fellows with the roadmap they need to get on the career fast track after graduation. An MBA is only one element of a successful career. This program focuses MLT Fellows on the fundamental steps necessary to be prepared and successful in the internship and full-time recruiting process. The program enables participating Fellows to build early relationships with our leading
corporate partners and non-profit organizations.

MBA Professional Development includes:

Recruiting roadmap: Fellows develop a personalized action plan to approach recruiting for internships and full time jobs.

One-on-one coaching: MLT Professional Development Coaches provide interview preparation, guidance and feedback to Fellows throughout the recruiting process. Coaches focus on specific learning outcomes to ensure MLT Fellows strengthen the practical skills required for job searches and develop the personal, social and intellectual skills that differentiate top talent for hiring organizations.

Door-opening relationships: Fellows meet and build life-long relationships with executives, recruiters and hiring managers across our 40+ corporate partners and non-profit organizations. Through these interactions, Fellows establish relationships with mentors and influential leaders who will play an integral role in our Fellows’ career paths from business school and beyond.

Pre-MBA internships: As part of MLT’s strategic initiative of providing exposure to exciting MBA career paths, several of our partners offer pre-MBA internship opportunities for MLT Fellows. The experience allows interns to determine industry and company fit and what it takes to build a successful career. The career-enhancing connections made by MLT Fellows while interning provides them with an expanded network as they seek business school internships and post-MBA careers.

Connectivity to MLT’s alumni network: MBA Professional Development Fellows have access to 2,000+ MLT alumni who have completed at least one MLT program and who serve as key resources throughout the job search process. Upon graduation from their MBA program, these Fellows join the powerful MLT community of alumni who actively support their peers and those Fellows who come behind them.
