Since 2005, the Houston Fellows Program, a regional affiliate of Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), has been identifying the best and brightest African American, Hispanic and Native American high school seniors and transforming their potential into a reality. Through the Houston Fellows Program, high-performing students gain the skills and experiences that give them an edge in college and their early careers.
Houston Fellows Program was formed to fill the void Houston will experience if the city's largely minority youth population is not part of the pipeline of talent to assume future leadership roles. By positioning Houston's next generation of minority leaders for civic engagement and career opportunities, the Houston Fellows Program is ensuring Houston has the leadership talent needed for the decades to come.

The Houston Fellows Program is a year-long leadership development program during which participants
- Develop leadership skills that will help you to excel in college and your career
- Learn about Houston's business and civic communities from today's leaders
- Develop professional relationships that will be useful as you search for jobs opportunities
- Build lasting friendships with other high achieving students
If selected, you will be part of an elite cohort of high-performing students who have the opportunity to engage with Houston's business and civic leaders both during and after the completion of your fellowship year. The Houston Fellows experience starts in the summer before your senior year with a world-class Leadership Summit. During the Leadership Summit, Fellows explore issues underlying Houston's civic and business challenges and identify potential solutions through workshops, seminars, dialogues as well as civic and industry learning journeys. The experience continues during your senior year with additional hands-on workshops and industry immersions.
