Fellow Expectations
MBA Prep is a rigorous program that requires commitment - the same dedication required to be successful in the competitive MBA admissions process and one's career. We have committed significant resources to marshal MBAP Fellows through the process and we want to ensure that Fellows are prepared to make the necessary commitment as well. To that end, we require Fellows to sign a Contract for Participation and to provide a $300.00 deposit that will be refunded to the Fellow upon successful completion of the program and adherence to the terms of the contract.
The Contract for Participation outlines the terms for participation in the MBAP program. These terms include, but are not limited to:
- Timely submission of monthly assignments
- Attendance to three mandatory weekend-long seminar events
- Timely attainment of competitive GMAT score
- Completion of 1st or 2nd round business school applications to a minimum of 3 MLT-approved, full-time MBA programs
- Commitment to volunteer to support future Fellows of MLT's programs serving young professionals, undergraduates, and high school students
Furthermore, MBAP Fellows must abide by MLT's Code of Professional Conduct, which consists of eight [8] imperatives written as statements of personal responsibility and commitment. In keeping with these shared expectations, Fellows are expected to uphold the spirit as well as the principles of the Code and conduct themselves at all times in a professional manner. Professional imperatives include, but are not limited to the following:
- We honor contracts, commitments, and assigned responsibilities because doing so is a reflection of individual integrity.
- We demonstrate appreciation for the MLT affiliation by offering the utmost courtesy and respect to our MLT staff, coaches, program peers and partners.
- We take pride in the MLT mission and the MLT brand and conduct ourselves responsibly and professionally at events where we are representing the MLT community.
- We take personal ownership of our individual MBA application processes and its results by actively engaging in the MBA Prep process, including coach calls, seminar attendance, and thoroughly completing the MBAP curriculum.
- We value honesty and commit to the accurate, truthful, and original representation of our backgrounds, experiences and accomplishments in our essays and in communications with coaches, MLT staff, and partners.
- We commit to the coaching process by demonstrating a willingness to listen, being responsive to coaches, and welcoming constructive feedback and resisting the impulses of defensive behavior.
- We understand that participation in the MBAP program is a commitment to exemplify these imperatives during the MBA application process and as MBA Prep alumni.
- We pledge to support the MLT community by contributing our time, talent, networks, and/or resources to execute the MLT mission while in the program and beyond.
